KMPG needed to tell the story of their Q-Center operation in India. Lead by a familiar senior executive, this corporate documentary was commissioned to give team members in the USA an idea of what their colleagues on the opposite side of the planet do on a daily basis. KMPG wanted the film to be vibrant and convey the busy nature of the Q-Team production floors. The choice of using a know face to narrate the story really grounded the film.
We shot the film over a short span of just 3 days with 2 camera units. The film's hand-held, pacey look is a result of the tight shooting schedule. We had so many setups crammed into the shoot day that there was no time for luxuries like cine-cranes or dollies. This film is probably a great example of how (1) tight shooting schedules can be used to positively aid in story telling and (2) swapping the quintessential voice over for a familiar onscreen face helped sell the story in just 4 minutes.
