Natyacharya is an independent film about a Bharathanatyam legend, it is DCAM’s debut foray into the world of independent film making. We decided to venture into creating our own content in early 2010. This film was produced, directed, scripted, shot and edited entirely by Team DCAM.

Natyacharya is a film that is based on the life of Prof. Guru M.R. Krishnamurthy, a man who has dedicated his entire life the learning and proliferation of the ancient dance form called Bharathanatyam. The film traces his connection to a very important historic figure in world of Bharathanatyam, Rukmini Devi. It explores his achievements and the dance school that he founded in 1992 called Kalakshiti. This film is still in production.
